You know last week's post about The Name of the Rose? Yeah. The ending was fucking magnificent. Sorry, Ian Pears, An Instance of the Fingerpost may have been a better overall novel in objective terms - excellent character and character development/revelation, some pretty good plot twists, etc - but the ending of The Name of the Rose was out of this world, really impeccable; Aristotle trumps the Messiah, and I don't even like Aristotle.
Anyways that's all I can get into this morning, but tonnes to write about later this week, including recent travel to Munich and to a place I'd been wanting to go to since arriving in Belgium, almost - Doel. Neither disappointed.
