Seeking: Attractive, talented Freemason, belonging to woman-friendly chapter

I’m thinking I might like to be a Freemason. Can anybody help me set that up? It’s not just about the symbols and handshakes. I believe in a Supreme Being and doing nice things in the name of nice friendly rationalism, and the Magic Flute rocks.

Yesterday I tried to figure out a retirement plan that would see me out comfortably until the age of 100, pffffffting as I did so. My family has lots of old people and there's been a couple of centegenarians, and I know medical science has advanced horribly and all, nonetheless I find it hard to believe I wouldn't die before that. I like naughty things too much. But just in case, I want the heroin to last right until the end.

You reckon it was hard for Bach to die? I bet it wasn't. It’s hard for me to listen to his music without thinking he had some sort of intimate sympathy with God’s will. More so than most people who write lovely music, even music I prefer. It’s like Bach just knew how the universe worked and was either able to explain it beautifully or else explained it because it was beautiful. Either way, I bet he had a nice attitude to all the things we don't know about and wasn't such a scaredy-cat.

You're totally right about Bach. Really nicely put too.

Thanks Jiri. Bach sure is yums.

Hi from Kanata! I've been reading faithfully lately and just realized I can 'leave a comment'!
I could write 1000 words about Bach but like Jiri, I'll just say that I agree completely. Did you know he had a gazillion kids?

Yay!!!!!! Melissa!!!!!!

That's so funny, I read about all his kids this morning! I wonder what kind of father he was.

And it was interesting to see he came from such a musical family - I wonder what kind of genius Sam Craig, or Tink if you prefer, is going to turn out to be.

And are you looking at Jiri's photoblog? (Out of Focus, on the sidebar) It's awesome - he was one photo of a Jap fire engine that's my screen wallpaper at work.

Hi!!

Do you mind if I'm reading your blog? It's my daily entertainment, I love it! I didn't know about Jiri's blog at all..I'll have to check it out. I'm tempted to try one myself but I don't think I have the time to 'commit' to it! I can't even keep my toilet clean these days..

I think Bach must have been a good father or else the children who lived to be adults wouldn't have been musical geniuses themselves. Unless he was a tyrant, making them practice all day every day.

I don't know what Tink's forte is going to be..it will be so exciting to watch it all unfold!

Mistress La Spliffe ha detto...

Hell no I don't mind if you read! I'm so pleased you like it.

Maybe not a blog, but a journal might be a nice thing to keep these days if you can put together the minutes for it . . . Tink might appreciate it someday. But I don't think anybody expects you to have time for anything for a good five years.

And with those eyes of his, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a revolutionary politician. (A musical one.)

Oh yes, I've been keeping a journal for Tink since he was a few hours old. Not every day mind you (not anymore), but bi-weekly updates - or if something interesting/funny happened. For example, 2 days ago he peed all over himself while he was squeezing his ball sac. He looked so surprised! Hilarious...

Ooh yes, could definitely see politics in his future. And being a double Scorpio, could be revolutionary!

Thanks La Spiffe (I almost called you by the first part of your nickname, you know, the one that's on your passport and stuff). I've been thinking about putting high-resolution version of few of the pictures up. I'll scan the fire engine one too, when I'll finally get of my lazy arse to do the new page.

Melissa, check it out too sometime. It would be cool if I can say in twenty years that mom of Sam Craig, the revolutionary, saw my page.

Melissa, that IS hilarious. Do you reckon he'll always have a mental association between ball-sack squeezing and peeing now? Or - holy fuck - is there an actual PHYSICAL correlation between ball sack squeezing and peeing? Men's bodies are so odd.

You should keep a little blog to help people like me understand motherhood is hilarious . . . right now when I think about it I just imagine a ticking time bomb in my tummy.

And please put up the fire engine, Jiri, even more than all the blossoms and fruit already did, seeing that made me want to go to Japan. It does seem a bit daft to not call me by my passport name but let's wait until I find a new job.

Hah! The word verification was "thcdodgq", good morning to meeeeee!

Ok Melissa, what does this have to do with freemasonry?

Jimarichard ha detto...

Oops sorry, I mean Mistress

Which, Mr. Richard, peeing and ball-sack squeezing, or the Magic Flute, a Supreme Being, and nice friendly rationalism?
